Loughborough Endowed Schools Boys-U15B vs  The King's School, Worcester
On: Saturday, 07 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

Overview: the scoreline does not reflect how tough this match was - despite starting with only 10 players, Worcester were a strong and skilled side. Ben Exon earned most valued player for volunteering to play the whole game for the opposition. ... ... Huge thanks also go to Freddie Mercer, Harry Goodenough, Jakob Jankowski, and Tom Ashford who all played a half for Worcester - very much in the spirit of the game. Every team member can be proud of a strong performance, with good hands, improved defence, and some lovely attacking runs. Caprain Robert Dowsett, Reece Toon, and Jonno Fergus were vital in the rucks, protecting the ball well and turning situations to our advantage. Joel had a strong debut, scrumming well and enjoying some strong carries. Harry Travers was excellent in the backs, not only with his tries (see video at but also for his try-saving tackles. Just a few highlights - making substitutions in this game was hard as everyone was pulling their weight admirably. Now we need to focus on hitting the break down hard and low, and seeking the territory beyond the ball - more commitment and less standing off is what we're after. Keep the fitness up over the half term break!
