Match Report
Loughborough Endowed Schools Boys-U15B vs  Queen Elizabeth Grammar School (QEGS), Wakefield
On: Saturday, 30 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

A fantastic end to end game fought by two strong teams. Good performances all round from Loughborough - especially from the back row and the outside backs; with the former clearing out rucks to ensure quick ball, and the latter exploiting the space extremely well outside.

What was most promising was how well the boys managed to identify and fix issues that were prevalent in the first half - which had led to QEGS leading 19-12 at the half way point. An increase in chop tackles around the rucks combined with better line speed in defence meant the Yorkshire school were kept to only 1 try in the second half. Conversely, Loughborough sought to use the wider channels better, which directly led to 3 tries in the second half in the left hand corner (Travers x 2, Ashford x 1).
