Match Report
Loughborough Endowed Schools Boys-U15B vs  Trent College
On: Saturday, 16 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

A great start to the season!

A quick try from George Swann was equally quickly counteracted by a score from a strong looking Trent team, and for a short time it looked like the outcome of the match might be in the balance. However, the strength and size of the home side started to show, with Jake Sisson's run opening up a sequence of phases that saw Christian Brannam touching down. From here the flood gates opened, and while never a walk-over, the boys were dominant for most of the rest of the match.

It was great to see Jake Sisson streak through to score on his first game for many years, followed by two tries from Captain Dowsett, a second from George Swann, and two from strong runs by Henry Silwamba on his school debut. Kiran Lall was a great presence in the breakdowns and had some excellent carries, one of which resulted in a try. Harry Travers and Tom Dexter were strong in the back line, with an outstanding run ending in a try for Tom.

We saw real depth with the boot, with conversions from Matt Howard, Harry Goodenough, and Tom Williams. It was his strength in this area combined with his utterly dependable tackling, super-glue hands under high balls, and excellent game-sense that earned Christian Brannam man of the match.

Great efforts from the whole team, well done!
