U15B vs King Edward's, Birmingham

Monday 18th September (Home)

Won 3-0 (Scorers: Theo Thornton, Thomas Bradshaw, Findley Williams)

Endeavour, endurance and some expansive play were the hallmarks of the U15B in this fixture. The creation of a pleasing number of opportunities led to three goals, all well executed. A 'proper' hockey goal opened proceedings with wide play down the right, a high ball to the '25' and then a cross put away at the far post by Theo Thornton. Tom Bradshaw's power shot beat the goal-keeper for the second, while the third was another put away at the far post by Findley Williams. Generally solid defence led by Sam Oram, Dominic Remedios and Jared Borrill was built on by inventive mid-field play from Bilaal Zafar and explosive speed from Tom Bradshaw. Tricky skills by Steffan Bernhardt created awkward moments for KES. His stalwart defending and distribution earned Jared Borrill the man-of-the-match.

All-in-all an exciting performance which bodes well for the season ahead.
